Lagos – As the Nigerian Family Planning Conference (NFPC 2024) approaches this Monday, the spotlight will be on the critical need for sustainable funding, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and rights-based quality services to meet the FP2030 Goals.
Making this assertion were experts at a media roundtable ahead of the eighth Nigeria Family Planning Conference who called for long-term funding for family planning initiatives amid the country’s population surge.
The conference projected that Nigeria’s population would reach 450 million by 2050 without urgent action to address the escalating population through sustainable funding, advocacy, and resource mobilisation, drive multi-stakeholder accountability, and advance rights-based quality services.
