Esenam Amuzu is a youth advocate and SRHR champion with over 10 years of experience in the areas of adolescent and youth reproductive health, child rights, family planning, youth leadership, gender, meaningful youth engagement and the humanitarian context especially with refugees.
She is passionate about Women’s involvement in Peace and Conflict discussions. Her work in gender equality and SRHR advocacy has earned her opportunities to represent women and youth voices on several national and international platforms such as UN Commission on Population and Development convened by UNFPA HQ.
Esenam is a 2018 Women Deliver Young Leader, 2017 European Development Days Young Leader, and a Youth Trailblazer Awardee of the International Conference on Family Planning. She is also a reporter with Family Planning News Network, a media network of the W.H. Gates Sr. Institute at John’s Hopkins University.
Esenam is interested in SRH and its intersectionality in humanitarian settings as well as reproductive health supplies for women and girls. She hopes to see a world where women and girls will dream and be whatever they want to be and where all forms of violence against women and girls no longer exist.
